Regarding our opening times over the festive period, as you are aware following our recent communication with you, our offices will close at 4.30pm on Friday 21stDecember 2018 and re-open at 9am on Wednesday 2ndJanuary 2019.
If, during this period, you or your tenants have any issues we have put together some information that we think will help, especially in getting supply restored.
In most cases, the first thing to do is to contact the current energy supplier. You will be able to check the current energy supplier(s) to any of your properties by going on to the Energise system. You can also provide your tenants with a letter that provides all the information they will need. Please contact us prior to the Christmas holidays if you are unsure how to generate this letter and we will talk you through the process.
If there is ever the possibility of a gas emergency, such as being able to smell gas due to a leak, please contact 0800 111 999 immediately and the national gas emergency network will deal with your issue.
If you experience a power cut and your electricity supply is affected, please call 105 immediately and the national electricity emergency network will deal with your issue.
If your property has a smart meter and your supply is off, try pushing the following buttons on the meter – A, A, B – and your supply should be restored providing there is credit on the meter. Alternatively, press B then 7 and follow the on-screen instructions to activate the emergency credit. If neither of these options work, contact your energy supplier.
Remember, always contact your current supplier first and they will, in the majority of circumstances, deal with any issues you have with your energy supply and stay safe.
